Possible Spoilers
Chulak was a major population center of Jaffa. Seen under the control of Apophis during the beginning of the Stargate SG-1 series, it has long been a source of soldiers and slaves to Apophis. When Apophis was seemingly killed in a raid on Earth the people of Chulak were thrown into a tenuous situation, unsure whether they were still under the control of Apophis, or his son Klorel, or if they were free Jaffa. Teal'c recovered a Jaffa ship from Chulak during this period to rescue the rest of SG-1. Little is known about how successful Teal'c was in setting the Jaffa of Chulak free, although since the destruction of Apophis, no Goa'uld had stepped up to reclaim Chulak, and it was for a time a free planet. SG-1 sometimes came back to Chulak to meet Bra'tac and Rya'c (respectively Teal'c's Master and son). However, when Apophis took control of Sokar's domain he committed several deadly attacks on the people of Chulak as punishment for turning their back on him.
After the defeat of the Goa'uld, Chulak became a major stronghold for the Free Jaffa Nation. But after their victory at the Battle of P3Y-229, the Ori forces moved on to Chulak, where they took control after a ferocious battle. Bra'tac speculated that the Ori chose Chulak as their first target because it was the location where the Jaffa Rebellion began. It is yet unknown of what the Ori will do to Chulak, but as the Goa'uld motherships were easily obliterated (even ramming an Ori ship failed to breach their shields), and based on the history of the Ori's actions, it is probable that all Jaffa who do not convert to Origin will be killed.
