Trin shot May an amused glance and stepped up the ramp to the Al'kesh.
"Are not you supposed to be dead as well?"
She spoke sharply to her Jaffa to get them to move faster. This little detour would set them back slightly, but if they gained a new possible source for information, then all the better. She experimentally eased up her mental hold on Raven. She almost expected her symbiote to surge up and take control right away, but was surprised when said symbiote remained where she was.
She shrugged it off as she stepped up the ramp of the Al'kesh. She had more important things to worry about than her symbiote. Obviously Raven must like the way she was handling things. She glared at her First Prime as she stopped in front of the control panel.
"Get us moving!"

May gave a shrug and followed obediently, though she did shoot the Jaffa an evil look. She had never taken kindly to rough orders, and the fact that they were upstart Jaffa made it worse. She walked up the ramp of the Al'kesh and glanced behind her. She had long given up the hope of seeing Lee ever again, but somehow allying with a Goa'uld made it more official in her mind.
"Goodbye, Lee," she whispered, and continued up into the craft. Her life had taken a drastic turn, which her father would hate her for. However, it was her longevity now.
"So, where to?" she finally asked Trin, stretching.

Trin felt the light hum go through the Al'kesh that told her, even without looking through the front window, that they were now off the ground. She watched their new guest carefully.
"There are two jungles on this planet that cover each of the poles. We are on our way to the north jungle to make sure this planet is deserted. If it is not, we will destroy any of the natives who stand in our way. We will then set up our base."
She felt Raven's approval at that last statement and mentally smirked. She had no intention of letting Raven destroy the natives unless they posed a genuine threat to them. But their guest needn't know that.
She watched May carefully out of the corner of her vision as she turned to gaze out the window, and absently ordered a near by Jaffa to bring the girl water.

May nodded. "Fine with me. The Chappa'ai is up closer to the northern pole anyway." She accepted the water and gave a cough, suddenly realizing how thirsty she was. Her face was sunburned, and she had the look of a person who had barely been pulled back from the verge of death.
She looked over at Trin. "You're not Tok'ra," she said, "but your symbiote doesn't suppress you all the way. Why?"
((Sorry for the lame post, but the only thing I can concentrate on at the moment is my sunburn.))

Trin blinked and turned to grin at May.
"Ah, so you are not as unobservant as I had first thought. Indeed, we are Goa'uld. However, for some reason unknown to us, Raven can not suppress me for long against my will. The same is true for if I suppress her."
She said no more as her First Prime approached her and informed her that they had reached the northern jungle.
"Very well, do another scan of the area, and then set us down."
She turned back to May and eyed her for several brief moments.
"You may use the sarcophagus if you wish, to heal your burns."

((Really sorry that took so long.))
May shook her head. "No thanks. The sarcophagus nearly killed my uncle, and I won't touch it with a ten-foot pole." She sighed and took another gulp of water. "As for inhabitants, I think Apophis might have taken care of them for you. You know how he loves to go on killing sprees." She rolled her eyes. "Trin, would you mind terribly if I abandoned you for a while to get some sleep?"

She examined May with a critical eye and nodded her acquiesce. Raven was not happy about it, but Trin recognized the nessessity of keeping their new guest healthy and as talkative as possible, that way they could get more information from her and her symbiote.
"Indeed. The sarcophagus is a dangerous thing that should only be used in the most dire of circumstances. A wise choice you make. You may take Jar'el's sleeping place."
She motioned towards the First Prime, who did not look happy about having to give up his mat for a prisoner. However he wisely remained quiet, and quietly offered to show May which sleeping mat was his in the cargo area.

'Thank you," said May, kneeling slowly so as to not arose his resentment. She looked up from her position and tilted her head slightly; it was a habit she had picked up after once injuring her shoulder. "I won't be a hazard," she told him. She curled up on the pallet, making sure none of her body lay on the cold floor.

Their guest taken care of, Trin turned her full attention to the control consol in front of her. She stepped forward and took the controls from the Jaffa manning them. She needed to think, and to discuss things with Raven. They were only a half hour from the northern jungle and while they had already planned out and issued orders about the building of their new base, there were still small details that needed ironed out.
//What are we going to do about Selket and May? I don't trust them.//
//We can do nothing, now that you have so rashly invited them with us. We will however keep a close guard on them. I find it entirely too conveniant that Apophis was here with her just as we discovered this planet.//
//Indeed.//
Trin and Raven moved on to discuss their plans for the new base, talking with each other silently until a light beeping filled the air, telling them that they had arrived at their destination. Several scans revealed nothing in the way of developed life forms, so Raven gave the order to set down at the edge of the jungle.
The gangway opened slowly, revealing the lush green foliage outside. Their Jaffa exited first, securing the area before Raven stepped down and exited the ship herself. She ordered for three of the Jaffa to stay behind to guard the Shol'va.

Once May awoke, she gave a glare to the Jaffa guarding her. "A Shol'va I may be, but untruthful I am not." She shook herself free of sleep and thrust herself onto her feet. She flicked her hair back and walked past the Jaffa to exit the craft.
She immediately inhaled the clear air as if she had been suffocating. With the cool dampness in her lungs, she looked around for Raven and the other Jaffa. Spying them, May walked up to them and remained, silent as a good servant.

A thorough search of the surrounding jungle revealed no intelligent life forms, so Raven and Trin silently agreed that the sooner they got their base camp set up, the better. They gave the order for a separate team to be sent to the southern pole as well.
Over many weeks the camps was organized and set up, buildings erected and a small fortress completed. Things ran very smoothly, much to their surprise. It was unusual for Goa'uld and host to have any sort of good luck, however they did not look a gift horse in the mouth, and spent the time making plans and taking the time to let their Jaffa regain their strength.
It should not have been so surprising then, when the peace and good fortune was shattered one day, by the arrival of strangers.

May had been with the Jaffa scouting party on a nearby ridge when the Stargate activated, and while they ran to check out the interruption, she reported back to Trin and Raven. She was no longer bitterly ditrusted; in fact, she was serving freely under the Goa'uld. She had probably earned a bit of discontent among the Jaffa for her quick ascent, but she really didn't care.
Skidding, May stopped behind her "master", panting. "Strangers," she gasped, "coming through the Chappa'ai."

Raven's head shot up from where she was reviewing their troop numbers. Strangers had arrived? This did not bode well. Why had there been no one watching the Chappa'ai? Someone would be punished for this lack of organization within their ranks.
"Send two squadrons to the Chappa'ai. One to guard it, the other to apprehend the trespassers."
She was about to turn away to summon her First Prime, when she paused and turned back to look at May, a hard look in her eyes.
"And inform them, that if they are not successful, they will be named Shol'va and executed in disgrace before their fellows."

"Yes, ma'am!" May grabbed a few weapons and shouted to some of the Jaffa remaining. She joined the running ranks to the Stargate but froze when she saw SGC uniforms. Her legs went weak as water, and she felt it hard to breathe. Lee..... No! She shook her head and fell in to guard the Gate while the other Jaffa swarmed the strangers.

May watched the now-unconscious prisoners being thrown into a cell, her mind going at light speed but her body numb. Lee. Alive. May had watched her sister die, hadn't she? The wound was still fresh. And yet, here was the same Lee -- same brown hair, same scars, same facial contours -- alive, and with SG-1. May's eyes filled with tears, and she looked down at the floor. Selket, aware of May's plight, was silent.
