Hmm, this is interesting. I wonder if the creator told the SG-1 production team about this tying together of mythologies, because that's exactly what the series did.

I only just say the movie for the first time last night.
I certianly liked it well enough, but I think I'd take the shows over the movie any day.

Yeah. Things are far better developed in the show.
I can't think of Kurt Russle as Jack O'neill after starting with the show. It just doesn't mesh in my mind.

Yeah. I rewatched the movie years after I got into the show and it was so wrong. The character evolved so much over time.

He did.
It was a bit easier to equate the actor who played Daniel Jackson in the movie with the version from the show, but something was still just a little bit off.
