Where would SG-1 be without the movie that started it all?

Non-existent. The move inspired them to make the series. Heh, though I do remember the first parts of Stargate where alot more... for mature audiences than later ones. Hehe.

What first parts? It's been awhile, I confess.

*nods* Yeah, they were, but I think it certainly added a little something more to the show. Where Apophis's queen is examining Sha're as a possible new host.
lol, it's surprising how much Michael Shank and James Spader looked so much alike. I didn't realize they weren't the same guy until my mom pointed it out to me.

It is, the only reason I noticed was because I watched the show before I saw the movie.

I must've been seven years old or so when I saw the movie. I saw it again later, but that was some three years ago.

*nods* I was young when I first saw it too. My first memories of it, was the scene where they first un-earthed the gate. For the longest time it was driving me mad, not being about to put a name to that scene.

When I was that young I ran from things on TV that scared me. My parents literally pinned me down to watch that movie, and after that I never ran again.

I would rather they continue the series... But more movies are the next best thing.

Yeah, I think we'd all like for the series to continue.

Yeah, but unless they destroy the gate, or give it to Russia, I don't see how the series can really end... Unless everyone who knows about the Stargate program dies... They already "replaced" Jack...

Well as much as I hate to say it, coming up with that many new ideas that often has got to hurt a few heads. And "hire more writers" isn't necessarily going to be a good thing.

But it would be worth it! So many great more adventures SG-1 could have had! Not that they didn't already have alot of great adventures. ;D

Yeah, I agree, but a lot of the episodes have things kind of based off of other episodes. And they already had so many writers that you'd think they'd have stopped trying that by now.
