Our favorite Colonel and General! Come here to talk about Richard Dean Anderson's other works aside from Stargate, talk about his non-media persuits, etc. Basically just talk about him out of the context of Stargate.

Ah yes, ROFL! Sorry, at the time I was watching some Sci-fi movie that features a luitenant guy as the main character.

No harm done, I guess. He had to have been a lieutenant once, after all. ;D
I've only seen one episode of MacGyver, but what I saw I liked.

Yeah, I've seen a couple episodes of McGyver. It looked pretty good, though I don't think it's my thing. My mom sings the praises of it ROFL.
I am really interested in his persuits outside of tv shows and movies. In the special features of one of the Stargate sets, it talks about how he is very deeply involved in charities and travelling around the world to see how other cultures live, and other such things. I haven't really done any research on it, but I just thought that was really interesting.

He's a really big advocate for gun control, which is weird if you've seen him on TV. He talked about firing the prop guns on SG-1 in an interview and how he hates guns in real life, but firing the wooden props is okay.
